Jay has over 35 years of publishing and senior management experience running award-winning brands and titles. Most recently Jay served as Group Publisher of Pharmaceutical Executive. Previous positions he has held include Group Publisher for several banking publications at Source Media and Vice President for Institutional Investor magazine, where he spent 15 years in various management positions.

Frédéric Boucheseiche – General Secretary of the Prix Galien Russia

Frederic who co-founded Focus Reports in 2002 is the promoter of the Prix Galien in Russia. Being an internationalist is part of Frederic’s publisher DNA and he has combined his love of globetrotting and his entrepreneurial skills to launch unified business media platforms targeted at C-level executives in two major global industries – biopharm and energy. Frederic is conversant in French, English, Spanish, Chinese and currently improving his Russian.

Bruno Cohen – Chairman of the Galien Foundation

Bruno’s expertise exclusively concerns moderating and stimulating communities within the field of Life Sciences. Graduate of the Superior Business School of Paris. Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur.

Prof. Jean-Marie Freyssinet – Science Counselor of the French Embassy in Russia

Jean-Marie Freyssinet, Doctor in Physics (the French Atomic Energy Commission, Université Joseph Fourier, Grenoble) ; Director of research at the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) ; ex-Director of the INSERM Unit 770 ; currently Counsellor for Science, Technology and Space at the French Embassy in the Russian Federation.

Dr. Frank Schauff – CEO of the Association of European Businesses (AEB)

Before joining the AEB, Frank Schauff held the post of Advisor on Foreign Policy to the Party Executive of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) from 2001. Frank Schauff has had a deep interest in Russia since his days as a student of Russian Studies at the University of Cologne and Volgograd State University (USSR). He went on to take a degree in Economic History and Political Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Masters Degree in The Government and Politics of Russia and Economic History.

Vladimir Shipkov – Executive Director of the AIPM

For a long time Mr. Shipkov has worked in the different governmental institutions. He has a deep knowledge and understanding of governmental functioning, as well as a wide range of contacts that contribute to the execution of the assigned duties in AIPM. His career of the government employee includes, among other, the functions of the Director of Pharmaceutical Inspection of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, Deputy Director of the Federal Service of Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks (Russian Agency for Patents and Trademarks). Mr. Shipkov also has working experience in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, State Customs Committee of the Russian Federation, banking sector. He served on actual military service. Since 2007 he is heading of the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers.

Andrew Somers – President of the American Chamber of Commerce

Andrew Somers brings with him more than 25 years of corporate, entrepreneurial, legal and political experience in Russia and the United States. He was executive vice president, general counsel and member of the board of American Express TRS Company. He was also special advisor on the Russian market to the American Express Company’s chairman of the board. Prior to his career at American Express, he prosecuted white-collar crime as an assistant district attorney in Manhattan for four years. Mr. Somers received his law degree from Columbia University and a master’s degree in Russian history from Columbia University’s Harriman Institute.
